Bluewind, located at Cochran’s
Mountain is a spectacular 150 acre parcel, surrounded by the Nantahala
National Forest and comprising the top of a mountain ridge. This unique
feature is rare, in that the great majority of the mountain tops in this
area are owned by the National Forest Service. The property has
outstanding long views of Lake Santeetlah, the Snowbird and Yellow Creek
Mountains as well as the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
The natural layout of
the land at Bluewind is unique in that all home sites will enjoy
magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, even at the lowest point
of the property. The natural bowl topography will allow for
approximately 70 estate lots and a 30-unit village located at the very
top of the mountain.
Characteristic of the Great Camps of the Smokies, Cochran’s Mountain
will have ample common areas, village greens, water features, a land
stewardship program, and restrictive covenants, including architectural
design guidelines, establishing and ensuring the outstanding quality and
singular character of the community. Like the other Great Camps, it will
enjoy reciprocity with all the amenities and activities of the other
Great Camps, including Wildsprings Lake access is provided through the
Santeetlah Canoe Club & Marina, located just five minutes away.
